New Jersey is one of the most productive hot beds of heavy music nowadays. A lot of unique bands like Monster Magnet, Solarized, The Atomic Bitchwax, Solace etc. come from this area. They teamed up a few years ago with a couple of NJ friends (Core, Six Sigma, Halfway to gone etc.) to jam and record songs for a Meteorcity project. The idea was cool, and now you can hear the result of over two years’ work on this 60 minutes long recording. The songs are all spacey, futuristic, monumental long jams; it’s nice to see the “other” side of bands like Solarized and Bitchwax. I’d even say, that these songs beat the originals (Core, Six Sigma are just crap in my opinion) and reach the high standard of Solace, Halfway to gone or early Monster Magnet.
