If you want electro-psych, why not try Laika. The rhythm machine does the drummer's job and soundsamples relieve flutes, tambourine and moog. Opposing rhythms are kept togehter by long runs of lamenting synthy tones. A modern sound without the nerve breaking monotony of techno and house and also far away from classic rock schemes.
