The reconfigured Donovan's Brain emerging after a 4-year gap, with Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) and Bobby Sutliff (The Windbreakers) now seated at the songwriting round table. Founding members, Ron Sanchez and Colter Langan, have gently steered the band back to their psych-pop roots. Jason Lytle (Grandaddy), Mike Musburger (Sgt Major) and label mate Roy Loney (Flamin Groovies) also appear with major contributions.

5th album by neo-psychedelia band from Detroit. On "A defeat..." they mix precise guitar rockers with Elizabethan folk-rock and West Coast guitar architectures. Guested by Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman), Richard Treece (Help Yourself), Bobby Sutliff (Windbreakers), all on guitar, and Megan Pickerel (Jessamine) on vocal.

This record is as good as the others if not even better. Guitar oriented psych rock, really powerful. Betti
Wherever you go in the United States there are jokes about people who live in Montana. The stereotype is a gun-loving guy (for somereason they all seem to be male...hmm.I wonder how--nevermind) drivingaround in his van chewing tobacco. I have never been there, but somehowI have problems picturing Ron Sanchez, founder of the innovativepsychedelic collective Donovan's Brain, in such an environment. ButBozeman, Montana is indeed what the 'Brain calls home and where theyrecord some of the most capable psychedelic pop/rock around. "TinyCrustacean Light Show" is the third in a series of albums from Donovan'sBrain, and this one is possibly the most accomplished and consistent oneI've heard yet. The title track, which opens the album, is an intensegrooving number with rushed guitars making a full review

3rd album by Montana psychedelic crew headed by Ron Sanchez and this time joined by Dave Walker, known for his years in Savoy Brown. Intense, West Coast inflected release that moves from psychedelic blues to psych rock and spacey excursions.

Debut CD by Ron Sanchez's neo-psychedelic outfit out of Montana. Brings Plasticland and Pink Floyd to mind. Guests on this release: Kurt Bloch, Tad Hutchison, Scott McCaughey (all members of Young Fresh Fellows).
