Mandragora?"TEMPLE BALL"(LIVE'94)-MANDRAGORA is one of Brighton's foremost psycchedelic bands and this release only confirms the musical qualities boiling ans simmering in the various tracks on this album. The subtle "LIVE 94" is a bit misleading, as five of the nine compositions are completely new studio recordings. The album kicks off with the 11 minutes long title track, a new journey into ambient, ethnic space rock. After this lift-off spirits are kept on a pretty high level with the short and funny "Dr. Temple's Abduction" that forums the intro to a fantastic, action-packed live version of "Zarg" (one of the best songs of "Earthdance"). When the excitement of "Zarg" has died down We'reguided into "This is...", an elegant psychedelic rock song featuring the powrful voice of Caroline full review Marc Muijen
